30 novice monks from impoverished areas in Mae Moh are about to enter monkhood. The objective is to assist these novice monks with their basic needs during their stay at the monastery. The funds raised will cover expenses such as food, lodging, clothing, study materials, healthcare, and other basic necessities required to support their monkhood at Wat Sobmoe SiWikChaiYo.
It is estimated that a living expense of SGD 10 per day is required for each monk.
Your contribution will help these novice monks to continue their practice, study Buddhism, and serve others without the burden of having to pay for their daily necessities. There is no minimum donation amount, and you can transfer funds through various methods.

We express our deepest gratitude for your generous and selfless support in sponsoring the novice monks of Wat Sobmoe over the past two years. Today marks a special occasion as the first batch of novices has completed the first stage of ordination and is now moving on to the next level of study.
During the first stage of ordination, also known as "Going Forth in Homelessness," the candidates expressed their desire to become novices and received instruction on the Triple Gem (the Buddha, the Teaching, and the Community of Monks) and the purpose and benefits of ordination.
The next stage of training will involve taking Refuge in the Triple Gem and observing the Ten Precepts.
May you and your loved ones be blessed with happiness, good health, prosperity, and good fortune throughout your lives. May the Dhamma guide and protect you always, and may you accumulate great merits and blessings through your compassionate actions.
